The R3 Resort is the hub of WW. While the rooms are sold out by now, there will be plenty going on and we'll keep letting you in to play until we start pushing out the back. If you haven't purchased a VIP pass online (and you should, what are you waiting for?) you can purchase them here. If you are just coming for the day, you can also pick up a day pass.

The R3 has a great little place to eat, the Rio Bistro. Can I just say tater tots? Yummy bar food, mini corn dogs, house made chili, and dinner specials. Don't pass up the Bang Bang sauce! And their award winning custard style ice cream is to die for. Try the Meyer lemon, and for the brave, candied jalapeño and sweet cream. I've been known to do a double scoop with that exact combo!

At the bar you'll find all the usual suspects, several beers on tap, fresh hot coffee always ready, and their famous house made blended mudslides and strawberry margaritas (try a float of Gran Marnier!) ready to go. I've also heard that they are planning to do a "free spirited" version for those who prefer non alcoholic refreshments.

And on Friday and Sunday, Country Dan hosts what he calls Lesbitarian Karaoke. I prefer Dykes on Mics, but that's me. Starts 730ish. Course, by Sunday, I've usually lost my voice, but then so has everyone else.

Right next door to the R3 is The Woods, homey and comfy, and a stumble away from the R3. Super cute cabins, pool, and Clothing Optional. I like staying here as it's super close to the main festivities (walking distance even if you don't walk) but far enough away to get some sleep.

Hungry? Let's take a walk. How about some tacos to fuel your exploration? Tbe Taco Truck at the Safeway parking lot is a Guerneville Institution and not to be missed. Kick ass street tacos and humongous burritos and Mexican coke almost too cold to drink. And while you're there, check out the parking lot flea market. Great tie dye if that's your thing, and an incredible array of stones and crystals and baubles and bits. FYI, the market behind in the corrugated steel bunker, don't bother. That's between us…

Also on that side is LA Bodiguita (I'm a huge fan of their fajita burrito (recommended to me so I'll pass on that favor) and add guacamole. Their horchata is. The. Bomb.

Next door to that is Koala Sushi and Burger. I know, I know. Terrible name. But the sashimi and sushi rolls are shockingly good, and I could bathe myself in the "dirty sauce". Cuz I like dirty. And burgers? Yasss. They make their own buns there and they are wicked good. My fave is the Philly and I add all the things, mushrooms, peppers, and extra onions. It's big enough to share, but you probably won't want to. They'll dump it on a pile of fries if you don't do the bun thing.

Let's start with the Strip. You've got the River Queen next to the 76 Station (which is the cheapest place for cigs if you’re a smoker, and the manager Jeffrey always has a dirty dad joke for you). The River Queen owner Jilla has two shops. I call the one closest to the 76 station the Tchotchke side and 4 or 5 doors down, the Clothing side. She's got a little something for everybody, including the coolest socks, and TONS of rhinestone jewelry, tutus, peacock fans, vintage dust collectors, and super soft hoodies. I believe she's doing a little special for the weekend as well.

In between the 2 River Queens you'll find a couple great galleries and art co-ops. Rebecca at the glass place can easily be convinced to do a custom piece and will ship it to you. And Doug at the Blue Door has some gorgeous collages. Seconds First is for the DeadHeads and Cottage Core aficionados out there, and they carry naughty coloring books

Up the street a little further from River Queen is Larks pharmacy. Cliff, the buyer, has got some of the coolest stuff in there that you don't need but can't live without. Stuffies, local jewelry, reading glasses, glitter, Manic Panic, cute mugs with fat chicks painted on. Lots of "souvenir type" shirts and hoodies. Plus its a pharmacy, so all the bandaids, sunscreen, allergy, basic lube, Qtips. You get the idea. Just go. You'll like it.

Across the street is another fave of mine - The Vault. It's a restored bank and they've turned in into an ice cream bar and gallery. Try an apple pie milkshake (you read that right) or the honeycomb ice cream. Add more honeycomb cuz why wouldn't you? Dyke owned.

Right next door to the Vault is Main Street Bistro. Suzy literally has everything on the menu, including that lesbian delicacy Gluten Free Options. I like the meatballs on polenta. Fresh oysters and the most amazing pot roast and everything in between. Full bar and live music every night. Make sure you go by on Friday night dance and pop-up performances for the bonus entertainment we have in store for you!

Suzy will be serving pizza until 1am on Friday for WW attendees and late (not sure until what time yet) on Saturday, so head over there after the drag & burlesque show!

Big Bottom Market has some bragging rights … listed in Oprah's Favorite Things, the biscuits are literally legendary. They have a fig and prosciutto sammie that will curl your toes, and some groovy vegan options. Oh, and for you beer lovers, they carry Pliny. That got you excited, didn't it?

Onward, you can do it! Kings Sport and Tackle for you Butches out there, and flips and hats and hoodies, oh my! Warning - dead things with antlers on the walls.

Then right next door, behold the wonders! The Guerneville Five and 10. The best selection of cards, wall hangy things, art supplies, pet stuff, incense, funky sunglasses, stuffies, blow up floaties (they'll even do the blowing!), glass pipes and other paraphernalia, ping pong balls (cuz somewhere there's beer pong), and candy. The Candy Section. Velvet Crumble, what!? Big Hunk? Sugar Daddies and their Sugar Babies!? Pixie Sticks!? The most fantastical array of candy outside of the Willy Wonka factory, including local toffee and taffy. Sure to play havoc on your blood sugar, but who cares? You're on vacay!

Who needs a beverage after all that? Thank goodness you've arrived at the Rainbow Cattle Company. We locals like to call it the Bow. It is the oldest gay bar in California and inside a great collection of queer historic photographs. You'll find a pool table, air hockey, and holy high rollers Batman…a pinball machine. Outdoor smoking area. You can bring your pups outside, but keep them out of the bar.

Come by during the dinner break from 6-8pm to enjoy $5 burgers from R.A.G.S.

Now that you're refreshed, let's pop around the corner to the locals and visitors fave coffee shop, Coffee Bazaar. All the usual suspects you could want, add some caramel to my mocha, please and thank you. Granola parfaits, frittatas, Greek yummies like baklava, stuffed grapeleaves, hummus (cuz we lesbians love our hummus) and apple fritters and filled doughnuts and…

While you're waiting check out the book store attached, RR Books and Letters. The owner Michael is DELIGHTFUL and a big ol gay boy, will happily drop stories about RuPaul girls he knows (but not in a roll your eyes way) and he carries a great selection of LGBTQIIABCXYZ books. Oh, and a laundromat right there as well, say hi to Abe, he makes the hummus.

Coffee ready? Let's go! Across the street is the Sonoma Nesting Company. Spendy, bougie, fabulous. The couple that own the place, Dax and Smitty, have the best taste. Antique, or vintage, handmade. They have a lovely Secret Garden that will take your breath away. I can spend a loooong time here.

Now I'm hungry. Luckily you've got Smart Pizza right there in the plaza under the big gay flag. Crust to die for. Suzy and her wife Shirley are both quite the characters and will make a slammin pie, chicken wings, pasta, damn fine burgers. No gluten free, but free gluten in every pizza. Check out her photos and concert posters. It's an eye buffet. Oh, they'll deliver to the resort as well after 5pm.

Swing by Shaketown, it's right there. The owner Coco is our local seamstress and can do anything, including underwire replacement. You didn't know you could get that, did you? She's got lots of pretty and funky goodies, including her own tie dye, and carries lots of big girl clothes, and silk flowers to tuck in your hair or wherever. You can also swing into the chamber of Commerce and find info about wine tours, bike rentals, balloon rides.

There's also the Russian River Grill there next to Jerry Knights Theater. Omelets eggs Benedict, biscuits and gravy. Try the Cowboy Benedict if your girlish figure needs a boost. Mostly booths, and they are super roomy, cuz you'll need that once you've finished eating.
