Getting There

Transportation

To get to Guerneville, having a car is helpful. You can use public transportation, but it's not easy or convenient. Once you are at ‘the River’ (as it is also known) you don’t necessarily need a car, but having one will help you explore the stunningly beautiful countryside. Rent a bicycle in town (available seasonally), but be aware that much of the terrain is very hilly and the roads are narrow.

Housing & Ride Share Forum

We invite you to visit the Housing & Ride Share Threads for attendees and those interested to offer or share information on rooms and housing for rent and rideshares for the weekend in hopes that everyone who wants to attend can find a nearby place to stay or way to get there.

Driving from San Francisco

From San Francisco, take US-101 North to Mark West Springs Rd in Sonoma County.

On Public Transportation from the Bay Area

For those without a car, we recommend using the Golden Gate Bridge Route 101 Bus, which starts from Salesforce Transit Center. There are two recommended routes from there:

  1. Get off at Santa Rosa Transit Mall and connect to the Sonoma County Route 20 Bus (to Monte Rio). Take that all the way to the Guerneville (Bank of America stop), and walk two blocks to R3; or

  2. Get off at Piner and Industrial (the last stop for 101) and take a rideshare directly to the R3.

You can use your Clipper card for the Route 101 bus; it takes approximately 1 hour to get to Santa Rosa and costs $14.

Flying

For those that fly in, the Bay Area airports, Oakland, San Francisco, and even San Jose are options. That said, we highly suggest you try to fly into the Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, which is a 20 minute Uber ride to Guerneville.
